Relative clauses (pol. Zdania Względne) to zdania, które zawierają informacje o danym miejscu, przedmiocie, czy osobie. W zdaniach składowych powinniśmy używać słówek takich jak:
- whose
- that
- which
- who
- when
- where
- why
Warto pamiętać, że that może działać jako zamiennik do niektórych z wyżej wymienionych słówek (dokładniej: which, who, whom), ale tylko kiedy przed słówkiem nie występuje przyimek bądź przecinek.
