Last month we went on holiday to California. We stayed in a nice hotel near the beach. We did some surfing and took lots of photos of dolphins swimming in the sea. One morning, it was a lovely day so we left the hotel and we had breakfast outside a lovely café. Suddenly, it was dark and cloudy and it was very windy. There was a big storm coming. The waiter told us to get up and run into the café. We heard a loud noise outside so we looked out of the window. We saw a tree fall on to the tables outside the café! 'It's raining cats and dogs,' I said. The waiter smiled. 'This happens very often here!' After about an hour, it was sunny again and we saw a beautiful rainbow. We walked back to the hotel. Outside the hotel there were trees on the ground and the swimming pool was full! We went shopping in the afternoon and bought an umbrella!
